Enbridge Wind Power: The Ontario Wind Power Project

Enbridge, Inc., is one energy company that is embarking on developing wind power to supply residents in the Ontario, Canada, area with new wind power energy. Contracting with the Ontario government for development of an Ontario wind power project to service electricity customers in the Kincardine and Saugeen Shore areas of Ontario, Enbridge is now showing their commit for working to reduce greenhouse gases and supply cleaner sources of electrical energy to residents of the Ontario, Canada, area, thereby doing its part to combat the effects of global climate change.

Enbridge, Inc., won a bid for the Ontario wind power development project through the Ontario Power Authority Request for Proposals in mid-summer of 2006. This is Enbridge's first wind power project and shows its support for converting oil and fossil fuel driven electricity to those governments and municipalities interested in participating in combating the effects of global climate change by utilizing cleaner energy sources for the future.
