Fix It TV Shows
There are some people who resent the fact that there are so many Fix It TV shows on television today. According to an article in USA Today entitled "TV Awash With Home Fix-Up Shows,' written by Deborah K. Dietsch in 2004, Americans have become complacent about the quality of TV that they are now content to sit home more and watch, since 9/11. The article speaks of the low-caliber, or B-movie mentality, of the shows on cable television, particularly the Home and Garden television channel, that glorify do-it-yourself home-fix-it jobs. To this cable television viewer, enough is enough in the Fix It category. Obviously not a candidate for the Golden Globe Awards ceremony and doesn't beat the soaps when it comes to drama. In searching through the TV.com website for Fix It TV shows, one long-running sitcom popped up called "Mr. Fix It," starring Mike O'Malley, a former Nickelodean games shows host. However, the best Fix It TV show that came up in my search of this mundane television shows category was a children's Fix It TV show, now available on DVD, called "Bob the Builder: Can We Fix It?" This Bob the Builder collection of CD's portrays the life of a "hard-working" builder, who ends up saving the day, a true friend of the common working man, or a role model for his children, I should say. This collection of Fix It TV shows can be purchased on DVD for a price ranging from $6.60 to $24.16 at Hotmoviesale.com. online, a good purchase for a child's holiday gift by parents who are concerned on "how to fix it" this Christmas.
