    Cider House Rules is a drama, the main idea of which is accepting or not abortions in the society and among folks. It is Dr.Larch and Homer (Dr.Larch’s pupil and surrogate son) characters through whom the director reveals us the abortion dilemma. There are two thoughts stated in the film and after each there stands one of those characters.

    It wasn’t until the 1927 film that the first modern gangster film was created, in the form of Josef von Sternberg's melodrama underworld. It held many of the standard conventions and filmed from the gangsters point of view, a first for the genre.

    The common factor to all modern- day trouble-makers and criminals is this: they didn’t watch TV enough. All the problems of the last century or so would have been avoided if people had spent their time watching soap operas or the news on TV.
