How To Rise Earlier: A Comprehensive Guide

There is nothing like starting the day with a well cooked breakfast while watching the sun rise. Unfortunately, this is of minor priority of others. They are missing out on a number of benefits that they can get by being an early riser.


Waking up earlier grants you sufficient time to prepare yourself before proceeding to work or school. You may either utilize this precious spare time to break a sweat or go to the gym, which in my opinion is best done in the hours of the morning. Or you can pass the morning traffic by commuting earlier, sparing you from all the car smoke in the process. Also, for others morning hours are the most productive time of the day to do their work. There are less distractions and you may be able to think better and focus better on the task at hand.

That's only a short list of what you will get if you rise up earlier. Hopefully you will rise up earlier with the help of the tips below.

Proceed to bed earlier. This may seem out of the question, but still there are those that underrate the value of sleeping earlier. Our body is in need of rest, and the later we get to bed chances are we rise up late as well. 7 - 8 hours of sleep is the recommended amount to sleep for typical adult, but it changes for one person to another. Measure your body's need and adjust your sleeping hours accordingly.

Choose the perfect alarm clock for you. An effective alarm clock is one that will force you straight up as soon as it goes off. Try different types of alarm clocks especially those with annoying sounds. Placing your alarm clock away from your bed where you cannot reach it will aid you as well. This is so you cannot shut it off and go back to sleep again.

Get out of your bed quick. Don't waste any time in getting out of your room as soon as you feel awake. Chances are you will be going back to sleep again if you stay long inside your bedroom. You have to take care on your way out, though. You might hit the door.

Remove stress before calling it a night. This will give you a ample reason to wake up earlier and help you in sleeping too. A number of hours before going to sleep, recap your day and determine problems and worries that you may have and create an action plan to solve these tomorrow. This will place your mind at ease and lighten your mind, pushing you to start tomorrow earlier.

Schedule your sleep efficiently. Discover what sleeping habits works best and stay with it diligently. One major factor here is discipline and determination. You can begin rising up early if you commit to it.
