Amid the pain of ending her marriage, Stephanie received some good news in March: Netflix CEO Reed Hasting announced that she would be starring in a Peruvian film produced by the streaming giant. His friend Bruno Ascenzo would be in charge of directing the film and would also play Cupid.

The 37-year-old Peruvian actor, screenwriter and director decided to cast Maxi Iglesias, a Spanish actor, to play the role of Salvador, Ariana’s (Stephanie Cayo) love interest. That’s how they both met and traveled to Cusco to start the recordings.

About the first kiss they had as part of the film, they both noted that they were nervous and that it was a “disaster”. However, what they did in real life turned out better than they expected.

“I was a little nervous and there was pisco in the scene, we drank and then the first kiss was a little awkward,” Cayo said. “The first kiss in the movie was a disaster, and the first kiss we had was really good,” said the Spanish artist.

THE ROMANCE WENT THROUGH THE SCREENS

In December 2021, Cayo confirmed what was an open secret: she was in love with Maxi Iglesias and that he was no longer just a co-worker, but her romantic partner. Through her official Instagram account, the Peruvian actress confirmed the news with a tender post.

“Two acting children agree, in this and in many other things. Recognizing each other, they love each other in the dark places feeding the soul with a beautiful friendship, and touch each other’s hearts with a love that does not require a single explanation. You are a gift, Maximilian. And the present is that. A gift,” was part of the message he shared along with a photo of him kissing Iglesias.

A few months later and with their film just released, the actors remained as happy and in love as they were at the beginning. However, the displays of affection ceased at the end of March 2022.

WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN STEPHANIE CAYO AND KEREM BÜRSIN?

Recently, the Italian press began to link the blonde actress with the protagonist of “Love is on the air”, a novel that was broadcast on the Latina channel. The rumors started with a photograph of the two, which is believed to have been taken on the same day of their alleged meeting.

This came after the producer and model, 34, visited Spain to participate in a project with the renowned Antonio Banderas. For her part, the Peruvian visited Madrid to celebrate her 34th birthday with her sister Fiorella Cayo, who has separated from her husband Miguel Labarthe.
