Spain’s Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum ushers in a new era with the creation of its own NFT, a collection that will showcase Van Gogh’s masterpieces for the first time. The museum has authenticated these artifacts that have been converted into high-definition NFTs using blockchain technology. The initiative was revealed by Carlos Grenoire, CEO of the metaverse platform, Olivers.

Olivers is promoting itself as a decentralized Stars Club, which aims to foster a new and decentralized relationship between fans and celebrities by connecting them via NFT. The platform offers various metaverse activities and experiences to allow fans to engage with celebrities.

In a cooperative effort with Telefónica and its NFT marketplace, each NFT, symbolizing an original work, is part of a limited edition with a maximum of 100 available for purchase. Grenoire expressed the platform’s aspiration to democratize access to art through NFT and provide a new perspective for people to appreciate Van Gogh’s art. He further added that Oliver’s platform is a place to display and explore these digital masterpieces, providing an immersive and rewarding experience beyond traditional museum environments.

In partnership with tech conglomerate LG, owners of Van Gogh NFTs will have the opportunity to display their digital artworks through a blockchain-enabled display. Van Gogh was the obvious choice as the inaugural historical artist at Olivers because of his universal recognition and his connection to Oliver’s innovative and disruptive philosophy.

On the other hand, Olivers started with a chance meeting. After graduating in engineering with a major in cybersecurity and neuroscience, Grenoire was working in the cybersecurity industry when he met renowned hacker and security professional Kevin Mitnick. The meeting marks the launch of a platform that aims to leverage blockchain technology and virtual reality to facilitate a new type of interaction between celebrities and fans.

So far, the platform features conversations with Álvaro Morte from Netflix’s Money Heist, and will soon be joined by ex-footballer Carles Puyol, actors Elsa Pataky and Kerem Bursin, as well as a digital Vincent Van Gogh, who is said to play a paper . as presented. The Star Club. To encourage greater user engagement, the Olivers team has made Metaverse easy to use, even for those unfamiliar with using the wallet.

Van Gogh NFT by Van Gogh Sites Foundation

This is not the first time a Van Gogh artwork has been minted as an NFT. Earlier, in October 2022, a collaborative project between the Van Gogh Sights Foundation (VGSF) and Appreciator.io, a global Web3 platform based in Hong Kong, came together to create the first NFT collection of Van Gogh. The project plans to use blockchain and NFT technology to raise funds for the protection of cultural heritage and promote the development of local artists, and started with 39 NFTs that were certified by the Van Gogh Sights Foundation.

User experience is prioritized

Grenoire emphasized that Olivers prioritized the user experience by simplifying access to the Metaverse. Neither VR glasses nor knowledge of cryptocurrencies are required, as all operations take place behind the scenes, thus facilitating the widespread adoption of its OLY utility and the global ecosystem. While users have the option to connect using MetaMask or other digital wallets, they can also use a credit card.

Through his Metaverse, Olivers aims to combine entertainment and education while leveraging blockchain technology. Grenoire’s vision is to establish Olivers as the top metaverse globally by offering a wide variety of daily free courses and activities in various domains such as painting, music, film, fitness and cooking. The platform also plans to increase interaction between fans and celebrities through their testimonial.

In addition, Olivers has presented Non-Fungible Histories (NFS), a series that allows viewers to direct the narrative and determine the future of the show. This unique concept also offers additional benefits such as participation in star-studded auditions, enrollment in acting courses and special event appearances.

Grenoire also confirmed the potential longevity and future development of the Metaverse. He pointed to the ongoing exploration of the Metaverse by tech giants like Apple and Meta, suggesting a promising future for 3D environments. Despite growing competition, Olivers is poised to maintain its position in the emerging landscape.
